I have been painting on real banknotes since 2015 though the size was always challenging, the more often than not expressive way of painting that I prefer can be utilised better on big canvases.
That's why this Madagascar Banknote, which incidentally already has cows depicted on it, was printed onto Canvas 130 x 190cm over which I then painted my "Sevilla" cow onto it, the original Sevilla painting that adorned the catalogue to the "Menagerie" Exhibition in the Reinhold Würth Gallery in 2013, when a painting of mine was also hung opposite and beside works from Baselitz, Beuys, Picasso etc.

Seit 2015 male ich auf echten Geldscheinen, obwohl die Größe immer eine Herausforderung war, denn die expressive Malweise, die ich bevorzuge, lässt sich auch auf großen Leinwänden besser umsetzen.
Deshalb wurde diese Madagaskar-Banknote, auf der übrigens auch schon Kühe abgebildet sind, auf Leinwand 130 x 190cm gedruckt, auf die ich dann meine "Sevilla"-Kuh gemalt habe, das originale Sevilla-Gemälde, das 2013 den Katalog zur Ausstellung "Menagerie" in der Galerie Reinhold Würth zierte, als auch ein Bild von mir gegenüber und neben Werken von Baselitz, Beuys, Picasso etc. hing.
