Butterflies are a beautiful symbol of the precariousness of life & the transiency of all living things.
A state of mind is not even a living thing, neither is the mind, it merely imagines itself to be real. In the worst case it can solidify into hard matter like a stone.
With time however, the stone will also crumble to dust, the mind will be nothing more than a faint memory of the past.
A butterfly is comparable to a state of mind which is nothing but a fleeting glimpse & will leave you if you let it go.
